The Industry Performance Indicators, IPI, for May 2007 revealed an increase in domestic air RPMs by 1.7 percent and international air RPMs rose 3.4 percent. |
The Industry Performance Indicators, IPI, for May 2007 revealed an increase in domestic air RPMs by 1.7 percent and international air RPMs rose 3.4 percent. Hotel/motel room demand increased 2.0 percent and room revenue increased 7.8 percent from twelve months earlier. Airline employment was up 0.5 percent and lodging employment increased 1.2 percent from May 2006.
The IPI are a set of monthly measurements that provide a quick snapshot of recent trends in travel-related industry segments. Data are obtained from both the private sector and government sources.
