VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Dec. 4 The newly constructed 176-room Hilton Garden Inn, which provides accommodations and meeting spaces for business and leisure travelers to the area, officially opened with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony December 3, 2003 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The hotel, owned by Barcelo Crestline and Armada Hoffler, is managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc.
Wielding the scissors for the ribbon cutting were hotel General Manager Michael West, The Honorable Meyera Oberndorf, Mayor of Virginia Beach, Louis Haddad, President/CEO of Armada Hoffler, the master developer for both the hotel and the Town Center, and dignitaries from Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. and Barcelo Crestline. Mr. West, Mayor Oberndorf, Mr. Haddad and Dave Durbin, President & Chief Executive Officer of Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. delivered remarks fitting the occasion. A reception and tours followed the ceremony. A jazz combo from Hampton University entertained as guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and beverages interspersed throughout the facility.
