Four Seasons Hotel Sydney achieves second highest ranking Australian hotel to make the Institutional Investor's 23rd annual survey of the world's best hotels.
Sydney (November 12, 2003) - Hot on the heels of Best Hotel in the Pacific Rim for the Readers' Choice Awards (Conde Nast Traveler), Four Seasons Hotel Sydney announces its inclusion on the Institutional Investor's 23rd annual survey of the world's best hotels. The annual survey comprises the rankings given by financiers who judge hotels by service, location, ambience, comfort and restaurants.
Four Seasons Hotel Sydney was the second highest ranking Australian hotel to make the prestigious list. Other Four Seasons hotels to make the list include: Lisbon's Four Seasons Ritz, Four Seasons Chicago, Four Seasons Chinzan-So in Tokyo, Four Seasons George V, Four Seasons New York, Four Seasons London, Four Seasons Singapore, Four Seasons Washington, Four Seasons Toronto, Four Seasons Boston, Four Seasons San Francisco, Four Seasons Milan and The Pierre.
To compile its rankings, Institutional Investor surveyed more than 100 senior financial executives from 24 countries who spent an average of 65 nights in hotels during the past year. They were asked to rate hotels they had recently visited on a scale of one to 100, and the scores were tabulated according to a formula that assigns greater weight to the responses of the more frequent travelers. To qualify, a hotel has to receive a significant number of votes.
