The Westin Kuala Lumpur Marks Westin's Entry Into Malaysia
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Sept. 9, 2003 Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) marked a milestone in its upper-upscale brand, Westin Hotels & Resorts, as it celebrates the opening of the brand's 120th property. Conveniently located on Jalan Bukit Bintang, the main shopping and entertainment thoroughfare in Kuala Lumpur, The Westin Kuala Lumpur marks the entry of Westin Hotels & Resorts to Malaysia, and is the first deluxe hotel to open in Kuala Lumpur in the last six years. The Westin Kuala Lumpur is built and owned by Ireka Corporation Berhad (ICB) which is one of Malaysia's leading construction and development companies.
