 First New Hotel Casino in Atlantic City in 13 Years Opens for Business
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., July 3 Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:BYD) announced today that Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa opened at midnight. Located at Renaissance Pointe in Atlantic City, Borgata is the first new hotel casino to open in Atlantic City in 13 years.
William S. Boyd, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming, commented on the opening, "Borgata has been a defining project for our Company. I am so proud of what we have accomplished since first announcing this development in 1996. I can't think of a better way to celebrate Atlantic City's 25 year anniversary than with the opening of Borgata."

A joint venture between Boyd Gaming and MGM MIRAGE, Borgata features 2,002 guest rooms and suites, 125,000 square feet of gaming, 145 gaming tables, 3,650 slot machines, 11 destination restaurants, 11 retail boutiques, a 50,000 square foot spa, 70,000 square feet of event space and parking for 7,100 cars.
