ROCHESTER, N.Y. (May 14, 2003) - The 465-room Clarion Hotel Riverside, conveniently located in the center of downtown Rochester at 120 Main Street East and connected to the Riverside Convention Center via Skyway, is now open.
The Clarion Hotel, formerly operated as the Sheraton Four Points, is the main link to an enclosed skyway system that encompasses over 100 retail stores, restaurants and office buildings. The hotel is near major downtown attractions including the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial, Frontier Field and Geva Theatre and within walking distance of the corporate offices of Xerox, Kodak and Bausch & Lomb.
The Clarion Hotel Riverside is owned by SGP Associates, LLC of Philadelphia, Pa. and managed by G. F. Management Co., also of Philadelphia. G.F. Management Co. also manages the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in Des Moines, Iowa; the Clarion Hotel West and the Clarion Hotel Executive Center, both in Omaha, Nebraska; the Comfort Inn in Marietta, Ohio; the Comfort Inn Executive Center in Richmond, Va. and the Quality Inn in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
"The Clarion Hotel Riverside offers a prime location, state-of-the-art conference facilities, and the top-line hotel features and room amenities that are the signature of the Clarion Hotel brand,” said Melwyn Gomez, the hotel’s general manager.
The Clarion Hotel Riverside features 465 spacious guest rooms including a Rochester Suite, three executive and three parlor suites. Each guest room includes one king or two queen-size beds, a remote-control 25-inch cable television with HBO, CNN and ESPN, telephone with data port and voice mail, desk, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and in-room safe. Each suite features a separate living area, king-size bed, sofa bed, two televisions and two telephones with data ports.
The Clarion Hotel Riverside features the Clarion Class Business and Leisure Room. Each Clarion Class Room features a king-size bed, refrigerator, microwave, desk with ergonomic chair, and telephone with dataport and internet access. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for individuals with disabilities are also available.
Hotel features include Bennigan’s, an in-house restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, gift shop, a seasonal outdoor heated pool, fitness center with treadmills and universal gym equipment, business center with computer, printer, fax and free internet access, elevator, guest laundry, valet service, outdoor parking and courtesy transportation to Rochester International Airport. The Clarion Hotel Riverside’s 30,000 square feet of conference/banquet space offers 19 rooms capable of accommodating groups from 10 to 1,000 people.
