MAQUOKETA, Iowa (May 8, 2003) - The new Comfort Inn, located at 1910 Nairn Drive (Exit #156 off of U.S. 61), in a historic township near Eastern Iowa’s largest Antique Mall, is now open.
The Comfort Inn is owned and operated by Maquoketa Area Hospitality Group and operated by Taylored Management.
“At the Comfort Inn we subscribe to the C.A.R.E. philosophy – Customers Are Really Everything, ” said General Manager Jennifer Miller.
The three-story Comfort Inn, the newest lodging facility in the area, features 64 guest rooms with four business class guest rooms and 10 whirlpool suites. Each guest room features one king or two queen-size beds, 25-inch cable TV with remote cable access and free HBO, coffee maker, clock radio, telephone with dataport, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and safe. Each suite features a king-size bed, microwave and refrigerator. Some suites also include a sofa bed. Ten whirlpool suites include a jacuzzi tub.
Non-smoking rooms and rooms for individuals with disabilities are available.
Hotel features include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, children’s pool, game room, fitness center, banquet/meeting rooms, picnic area, guest laundry and parking.
The hotel’s 3,800 square foot meeting space features two rooms capable of accommodating 350 people classroom style or 240 for wedding/banquet seating. A fax machine is available for guest use.
The Comfort Inn is only seven miles from Maquoketa Caves State Park and 30 miles from Loras College, Clarke College and the University of Dubuque. The Field of Dreams in Dyersille, Iowa is 45 minutes away.
