(Atlanta, Ga. – April 7, 2003) Homestead Studio Suites Hotels recently named Peter Birckhead, vice president of sales with responsibility for 63 hotels that comprise the Western Region including Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minneapolis, Nevada, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
“We look for Peter’s leadership and varied brand experience to stimulate results in the Western region and further direct the sales force towards our set objectives,” said Homestead Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Tim Groves.
Birckhead is a 26-year hospitality veteran serving most recently as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Houston-based Vista Host Hotels where he helped direct the sales and marketing efforts for 47 franchised hotels with as many as 15 major lodging brands.
“Peter’s accomplished career in the service and hospitality industry will be a great asset to the management team,” said Homestead President/CEO, Gary A. DeLapp.
Based in Houston, Texas, Birckhead holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from The University of New Hampshire.
