TORONTO, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Ignacio Gomez-Tobar marks his 10th anniversary with Four Seasons with a move to Four Seasons Hotel Miami as General Manager. From his home base in Miami, he is responsible for the pre-opening activities of the hotel, which is expected to open late next year. In addition, as one of the company's Regional Vice Presidents, he will oversee the operations of Four Seasons Resort Carmelo, Uruguay and Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires.
Miami is one of my favourite cities in the world, said Gomez-Tobar. I look forward to making my home here and introducing Four Seasons to this exciting, new market.
Gomez-Tobar joined the company as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City in 1992. In 1997, he was promoted to Regional Vice President with responsibility for Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and Four Seasons Hotel Caracas. Prior to joining Four Seasons, Gomez-Tobar spent 20 years with Hilton International in several locations including Nicosia, Boston, Oklahoma City, Honolulu, Chicago, Caracas and Bogota. He comes to Miami from Four Seasons Hotel Prague where he served as GM and Regional Vice President with responsibility for Four Seasons Hotel Berlin and the soon to be opened Four Seasons Hotel Budapest.
Under Ignacio's leadership, Four Seasons Hotel Prague now finds itself in the enviable position of being the hotel of choice in Prague, said Wolf Hengst, president, worldwide hotel operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. I have no doubt he will cultivate and develop Four Seasons Hotel Miami with the same care and precision.
Four Seasons Hotel Miami will consist of approximately 220 rooms and suites, 84 condominium hotel units and 186 luxury condominiums. This major mixed-use development also includes an almost two-acre landscaped pool terrace, a 25,000 square foot spa and fitness club, office space and retail space. Owners of the residential units will have full access to the services of the Hotel, from housekeeping to in-room dining. When complete, the structure will redefine Miami's skyline, as the tallest building in the city, centrally located on Brickell Avenue.
