Rezidor Announces the Radisson Hotel Batumi, Georgia

The Rezidor Hotel Group (STO:REZT) announces yet another hotel in CIS - the Radisson Hotel Batumi, Georgia (150 rooms, to open in Q2 2010).
Batumi is located directly at the Black Sea, attracting visitors both domestically and from regional countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Turkey. Batumi Port is the most important port for Georgia, linking Europe and Central Asia. Besides 150 guest rooms the new hotel adjacent to the Seaside Park in the city centre will feature 2 restaurants, meeting areas and fitness facilities.

Reinforcement of the Business Development team for Russia & CIS
'In the CIS we are currently having the strongest pipeline ever', says Puneet Chhatwal, Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer of Rezidor. 'And we underline our leading position by appointing a new Vice President Business Development, based in our new branch office in Moscow'. Industry veteran Georges Chauve will in his new role support Rezidor's regional team. The Frenchman has more than 25 years experience of international and regional hotel management - he is a graduate of the Swiss hotel schools of Geneva and Lausanne, and held positions such as Director of Hôtel Le Crillon (Paris), General Manager and Director of Operations of Allson International Hotels & Resorts (Asia), and Operations Consultant for Trans World Corporation (New York). Most recently he served as President and Director of Project Development of Le Walt Hotel and Le Marquis Hotel (Paris) and as Managing Director of Mospromstroi Hotel Management LLD (Moscow).
Rezidor is the first international hotel group to have a full development, technical, marketing and operations office in Russia. The company therefore has immediate resources at hand for owners and developers to manage ongoing business and to support new projects all over the region.
