Sheraton Grand Resort Sales Manager Wins Top Bahamas Award

PARADISE ISLAND, The Bahamas, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Adelaide Della Hamilton, a sales executive at the 340-room Sheraton Grand Resort Paradise Island, has been selected Sales Executive Of The Year for 2001 by the Bahamas Hotel Association (BHA).
Ms. Hamilton serves as the resort's Sales Manager and has been affiliated with the property since July 1996. She was presented the award at the BHA's annual awards luncheon recently held in Nassau.
This recognition is another milestone for Ms. Hamilton and the Sheraton Grand, said Alfred Gorlick, CHA, Vice President & General Manager of the resort. Ms. Hamilton has earned the respect and admiration from her colleagues throughout The Bahamas, and especially from our own staff.
Ms. Hamilton has been involved in the hospitality industry since 1993, when she first became a sales coordinator for the Nassau/Paradise Island Promotion Board. She then accepted her present position where she has made a positive economic impact for the hotel as well as The Bahamas according to Gorlick.
Her responsibilities include the development of new business and the maintenance of existing business, and her position takes her throughout The Bahamas to meet with administrators and executives for various companies and organizations.
Ms. Hamilton is a graduate of Florida International University in Miami, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Prior to that, she earned an Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the College of The Bahamas and attended Queen's College High School.
She is a member of the National Bahamahost Association, and received a Certificate of Recognition for being a finalist in the BHA Sales Executive Of The Year competition in 2000.
Ms. Hamilton and her husband, Alexander, live in Nassau.
