Luxury Hotel Brand 'Spoils the Senses' of Their Young Guests through New Program Just for Kids
A complimentary gift bag full of sensory trinkets, cookies and milk each night and a suitcase full of books and games -- what more could a kid ask for? Omni Hotels' kids program has received an extensive childlike makeover designed to create a memorable stay for its youngest travelers. The new Omni Sensational Kids program enables children of all ages to enjoy travel through fun, indulgent offerings which activate all of the five senses.
Omni Hotels tapped an informal advisory board of 10-year-old children to design the program and pick out items for the complimentary backpack style gift bag.
"While filled with anticipation, traveling can also be challenging for kids. We want our youngest guests to feel special from the moment they arrive at the hotel and then continue to provide fun throughout their stay," said Caryn Kboudi, vice president of corporate communications for Omni Hotels.
The centerpiece of the recently redesigned Omni Sensational Kids program is a complimentary, out-of-this-world backpack bag filled with sensory items intended to entertain and engage kids as they are welcomed to Omni Hotels. Upon arrival at the front desk, kids will open their bag to find:
• A Kaleidoscope for Sight
• A Kazoo for Sound
• Candy lightening bugs for Taste
• Oversized jacks for Touch
• A scented bracelet for Smell
In addition to the fun-filled sensory items, selected with the help of their informal advisory board, the gift bag includes a colorful plastic cup that can be used in-room or at the hotel restaurant. Furthermore, young guests will receive a list of kid-friendly destinations to visit in each Omni Hotels' destination. Examples include the Dallas Zoo, Museum of Science in Boston, Hayden Planetarium in New York City, Alcatraz Island and the Butterfly Pavilion near Denver.
Named one of the top 10 "best hotels for families" by Child magazine, Omni Hotels offers special children's menus, milk and cookies each night and a rolling backpack suitcase available for check-out at the front desk or concierge. The suitcase includes books and board games for added entertainment during the stay. The Omni Sensational Kids program is valid at any of the 40 Omni Hotels' properties across North America.
