Leadership and Increased Productivity Lead to New Appointment
Pegasus Solutions today announced that executive Mike Kistner has been named chief operating officer for the company. Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions, Inc. is a global leader in providing technology and services to hotels and travel distributors.
"This new title for Mike recognizes the achievements he has made at Pegasus," said John F. Davis III, president, CEO and chairman of the board for Pegasus. "His leadership has enabled Pegasus to turn a corner, increasing customer satisfaction while enhancing the ability to deliver services and enhancements. Since joining the company, Kistner has embraced agile management methodologies that have enabled the company to double productivity by doubling the number of projects completed. Under his leadership, Pegasus has decreased the rate of defects and decreased the cost of delivering technology. In the past year, Kistner reorganized the groups that report to him, attracting talent from other companies in the industry and encouraging former employees to return to Pegasus.
Kistner joined Pegasus last year as senior vice president of operations and technology, managing all functional areas that deliver the production elements of Pegasus services, including computer systems, networks, call centers and business process fulfillment. He later assumed the operations and technology aspects of the Pegasus business. Kistner is based in Pegasus' Scottsdale, Ariz., location and is the company's senior executive at that facility.
Kistner's background includes serving Best Western International as CIO and senior vice president of distribution, as well as executive roles at Cendant Corp., Super 8 Motels and HFS Inc. He holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting and information systems from Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D., and a master of science degree in information systems from Colorado State University.
