CHICAGO, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Keegan Gerhard, Pastry Chef for Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, was named one of Pastry Art & Design magazine's 10 Best Pastry Chefs of The Year at an awards ceremony in New York City on May 13th. The editorial staff of Pastry Art & Design vote for pastry chefs across America who create cutting edge, creative desserts.
Keegan has been the Pastry Chef for Four Seasons Hotel Chicago since June 2001. Most recently, Keegan was selected as Technical Advisor and Consultant to the 2001 World Cup Pastry Team. In January 2001, the United States team was finally able to bring home the Gold Medal under the guidance of Keegan. He also works with CaryMax, Inc. as an organizer and MC for the National Pastry Team Championships held each June in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
Keegan was also selected this year as one of only eight chefs in the country to entertain the Salt Lake Olympic Committee at the Winter Olympic Games. Keegan's dazzling Spring Dessert Collections for Seasons Cafe and the 2002 AAA Five Diamond Award winning Seasons Restaurant are below.
