Dorcy will oversee operations and staff at multiple properties including the Plaza Resort & Spa and the Plaza Ocean Club along 'World's Most Famous Beach'
Steve Dorcy, who has served as General Manager of the historic Plaza Resort & Spa for the past year, has been named Vice President and General Manager of the entire Plaza Complex. Dorcy will oversee staff and operations at multiple resorts along nearly half a mile of beautiful beachfront property in Daytona Beach.
Dorcy is also charged with overseeing the renovation and condominium conversion at The Plaza Resort & Spa. The multi-million dollar transformation of the Plaza into a luxury hotel condo is scheduled to begin later this spring. As part of the conversion, all of the Plaza rooms will be remodeled to include new interior designs and living areas. Other amenities for guests and owners include access to the 15,000 square-foot Ocean Waters Spa and the resort’s onsite gourmet restaurant and lounges.

Prior to joining Oceans Resorts, Dorcy was general manager of the Hilton Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee for 12 years. During that time, the Memphis Hilton was awarded the highest guest satisfaction scores of all Hilton Hotels under 500 rooms. In 1998, Dorcy was awarded General Manager of the Year, followed by Hotelier of the Year in 2003. Dorcy also received a White House staff award for service above and beyond expectations.
Dorcy started his career in the hospitality field while still in high school at The Playboy Club in New York City and graduated with honors from Lynn University.
