    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in IT or a related field, plus a minimum of 5+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Programming experience a plus.  Previous Production and/or Customer Support experience desired.  Individual must have in-depth knowledge of multiple applications in production scheduling, control procedures and maintaining processing service deliverables, on multiple platforms and in multiple environments.

    Required Skills:

    • 5+ yrs of Production Support experience

    • Basic understanding of Point of Sale, Transaction Management, and Sales Audit processes

    • Experience with AJB Software – (Polling, Settlement, Authorization)

    The Retail Application Support Specialist position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, in a dynamic environment. The Retail Application Support Specialistwill investigate reports of production incidents for multiple applications, coordinate activities to resolve them efficiently, and ensure the integrity and security of data, as well as system availability.  This role is also responsible for tracking and providing notifications and updates on critical incidents.


    • Provide Tier 2 operational support for all production systems within scope including monitoring performance metrics, optimizing production schedules for efficient processing, performing root cause analysis to resolve recurring issues, and ensuring third party software has current upgrades and patches applied
    • Maintain effective relationships with various Infrastructure and Development teams, business partners, and third-party vendors
    • Administer security access to application as required by following established corporate security audit procedures
    • Assist Development team and Business Partners with troubleshooting non-production tools and processes and provide ad-hoc reporting, as requested
    • Effectively communicate regular updates to management and business partners regarding critical outages through resolution
    • Provide Release Deployment support for in scope systems by administrating and implementing all new system enhancements, and providing testing support when necessary
    • Prepare and maintain project plans for tasks greater than 40 hours and perform level of effort estimates for assigned tasks when requested
    • Participate in weekly staff meetings and provide weekly status reports to management
    • Participate in Development and/or Business planning meetings regarding your assigned system responsibilities
    • Support corporate system audits by maintaining accurate, comprehensive documentation and providing timely responses to requests
    • Support Change Management process by adhering to guidelines and providing proper documentation
    • Additional responsibilities as needed
