    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related industry experience resulting in demonstrated ability to perform major duties.
    • One year’ experience in business administration, utility regulation, or related area.
    • Excellent organizational skills, detailed oriented, and an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Self-motivated and proactive.
    • Must be able to work effectively in a highly dynamic team environment and assist all groups as needed.

    • Ability and willingness to travel.


    Salary and Benefits:

    The salary will be competitive and commensurate with relevant experience as well as the responsibilities of the position.     Position Overview:

    This position will serve as a Compliance Program Coordinator for the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP) of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), developed in coordination with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).  This position assists in preparation, processing, tracking and coordination of compliance monitoring activities and related documentation.


    Major Duties:

    • Prepare, review, finalize and issue all formal notices related to Compliance Monitoring activities in accordance with the NERC Rules of Procedure and WECC policies.

    • Draft audit related correspondence.

    • Provide administrative support for compliance monitoring activities (audits, spot-checks, Inherent Risk Assessments, Internal Controls evaluations, Self-Certification requests, Event Analysis reports, Compliance investigations, Compliance Complaints) – requires travel for on-site engagements.

    • Negotiate and schedule logistical arrangements (hotel, flights, car rentals, and catering) for Compliance audits (on-site, off-site, spot checks).

    • Maintain security of confidential information in accordance with the NERC Rules of Procedure and WECC policies.

    • Communicate in a professional manner with all levels of the organization, as well as registered entities and member organizations.

    • Formulate and implement recommendations for improvement and/or enhancement of processes to ensure high and consistent standards in data entry, collection, and retrieval.

    • Monitor incoming data, verify integrity, and provide the location of the evidence to the entire audit team.

    • Prepare and make presentations at both internal and external meetings.
