    • A minimum of 8 years' experience in a sales role, and a minimum of 4 years' experience in a National Sales Manager role.
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience selling furnishings product into either hospitality (hotels or restaurants) or residential-focused retailers is required.
    • A strong product orientation, including an ability to understand the nuances of decorative products, is absolutely required to be successful in this role (as well as sales process management skills).  
    • Four-year college degree is required.
    • Extensive knowledge of national sales tactics and approaches is required.
    • Strong presentation skills are required.
    • Professional appearance and phone etiquette are required.
    • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive to grow new channels of businesses.
    • Demonstrated business skills in forecasting, budgeting, training, hiring, presentations, and selling products.
    • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and listening skills.
    • Strong ability to analyze data and prepare reports for senior team.
    • Solid knowledge and efficiency in using Microsoft Office tools is required.
    • Strong sense of organization, and solid level of detail orientation is required
    • Willingness to travel approximately 40%. Travel includes but is not limited to road time with external sales representatives, attendance at trade shows, attendance at client events.


    National Sales Manager

    This individual's responsibilities include: managing and training external sales teams, directly assisting growth of sales at strategic accounts, performing oversight and analysis functions as it relates to client, account, and sales representative performance trends, assisting with sales forecasting and budgeting, leveraging trade shows and other lead generation forums to meet sales targets, and frequently serving as the face of the company with external parties. The role will focus specifically on our Lighting Showroom and Hospitality industry clients.

We have established momentum and strong operational capabilities in these two market segments, we need a strategic sales leader to take us to the next level, that wants to grow with the company and also grow themselves to take their skill set to the next level.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Devise and implement sales strategies and initiatives to grow existing customers and capture new customers.
    • Engage directly with strategic accounts to assist field reps with sales calls, deliver brand and new product introduction presentations, build relationships, garner customer feedback, and drive business.
    • Work closely with marketing to conceive of and drive development of collaborative lead generation programs and develop/evolve effective sales tools.
    • Develop and equip the field representatives with the right product knowledge through product training, imparting sales technique best practices, and active outbound communication of developments/news.
    • Maintain and nurture strong relationships with a variety of client contacts, from manager to EVP level positions.
    • Adept at devising methods to incentivize and motivate the field sales representatives to produce maximum sales growth and achieve/surpass their goals.
    • Be a market-sensing leader who obtains competitive knowledge and relays critical information to other internal departments.
    • Leverage reports, external market data, and potential customer databases to set annual sales targets and properly focus field sales team members, as well as provide input internally on how to shape the company's hospitality offering.
    • Attend quarterly management meetings and present the company's sales performance and make recommendations for future.
    • Manage trade shows/markets with detailed preparation to maximize the show.
