    This position is located in Chicago, IL at our Holiday Inn O'Hare!

    The Sales Manager is responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. 

    Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.
    • Initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients
    • Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
    • Conduct property site visits and answer questions
    • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and service accounts
    • Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
    • Opera Experience preferred
    • Sell
    • Maintain appropriate balance of account maintenance and prospecting for new business
    • Establish and maintain effective and profitable relationships with customers
    • Responsible for achieving both assigned market room night/revenue budget along with the top-line revenue goals for the hotels.
    • Assist Regional Director of Sales & Marketing hotel specific goals/strategies in assigned market to positively impact revenues
    • Familiar with hotels' competitive set and shared accounts
    • Generate data, analyzes and recommend strategy and action within assigned territory to impact business. Update Opera and or Calendar continuously
    • Communicate a clear sense of strategic direction and goals for assigned market
    • Incorporate marketing strategies into sales strategies.  Where appropriate works with RDOS on weekly activities
    • Work with National Sales Team to communicate needs of the hotels, as appropriate
    • Keep up on industry trends and seek creative ways to infiltrate markets/accounts
    • Join and attend appropriate market organizations
