    ·         Seasoned manager that’s “been there, done that"

    ·         Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and agency rules and regulations

    ·         Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and some type of post secondary CRP/ERP system such as CampusVue

     

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

     

    ·         Bachelor’s degree required

    ·         Ten years experience in proprietary college financial aid administration with prior oversight of a multi-campus environment is required

    ·         Prior interactions and dealings with auditors and regulators

     

    Travel Requirements

     

    ·         Overnight travel can range from 0%–30% per month

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

     

    The Vice President of Student Finance is responsible for all aspects of student financial aid administration and services. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

     

    This position is ideal for someone with a track record of excellence leading a financial aid organization for a multi-campus proprietary college system. Prospect Education is the owner and operator of a privately held, for profit, post-secondary entity called Charter College. This position is located in our Company headquarters in Reno, Nevada with campuses operating in California, Washington, Alaska, and On-line.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    This position is responsible for all student financial services operations including oversight of the following areas:

     

    · Federal Title IV eligibility and administration

    · State financial aid eligibility and administration

    · Private, public, and institutional scholarships

    · Third party agency funding and development

    · Private financing options and relationships

    · Institutional financing options and payment plans

    · Manage a third party service that performs on-going file compliance reviews

    · Maintain effective relations with the U.S. Department of Education

    · Student billings and collections team in order to minimize loan charge-offs

    · Staff hiring, development, and progression planning

    · Establishment and maintenance of policies, procedures, and training to ensure sound internal control structure

    · Collaboration with Campus Presidents and executives to ensure compliance with regulations, and Company policies and procedures

    · Long term vision and strategies to optimize department operations

    · Ensuring adequate and timely corrective action is addressed and implemented for all audits and program reviews

    · Helping ensure student Federal financial aid delinquencies and defaults are minimized

    · Collaboration with the Admissions team to ensure students receive all entitled aid, and supports sales processes to the extent of the law

    · Other financial service areas as needed
