    •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience

    •Minimum of five years of relevant and progressive professional experience in accounting and/or finance especially in the area of implementation and maintenance of Peoplesoft Financial systems (Ver. 9.1 or above)

    •Strong functional experience in Peoplesoft Financials

    •Experience with below PeopleSoft Modules preferred ?AR, AP, BI and GL

    •Understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles

    •Ability to communicate with users at all levels of the organization

    SUMMARY:


    A Global insurance company is seeking a Functional PeopleSoft Financial Systems Analyst -  for their Corporate Headquarters located in Houston, TX.


    DESCRIPTION:


    Under general supervision, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining the department data system, overseeing system enhancements and ensuring that all processes are completed effectively and efficiently.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Relying on experience and judgment, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments.  These assignments are broad in nature and work can be difficult.

    •Implement accounting/financial systems and databases by providing analysis, setup, and testing of programs to ensure accurate financial results and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles.

    •Document test results and troubleshoot program issues.

    •Collaborate with IT and other applicable departments to ensure all user needs are identified and included into system requirements and all technical aspects are properly documented and addressed.

    •Design and test interfaces between all applicable systems/databases.

    •Identify and make recommendations for improving processes and procedures for assigned accounting/financial systems and databases.

    •Create and maintain system documentation, user manuals and training documents.

    •Perform all system administration for assigned business application including security administration, configuration management, system monitoring, and appropriate documentation of all activities.
