This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, including an ability to listen to the needs of the executive team, vendors, business partners and staff while articulating issues in a clear concise manner, and be able to prioritize tasks at hand. The ability to forge business relationships with service providers and manage outside vendors is critical.

With over 63 restaurants in 20 states, we are seeking an experienced Sr. Director of IT in our Miami Corporate Office.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Offiicer, the Sr. Director of IT performs a wide variety of duties to oversee the management of effective information technology, electronic data processing functions and network environments including all corporate and restaurant telecommunications systems and networks. Direct the development of systems, personnel, operations, and acquire equipment to meet overall plans and objectives of company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct, coordinate, motivate and supervise all IT employees involved in various activities related to development and operation of computerized systems to support business operations. Plan and direct work to ensure the most effective use of personnel, equipment and facilities to engage, direct and evaluate all third party providers participating in IT and telecommunications activities as necessary and meet required objectives and schedules. Direct staff in various functions including problem definitions and solutions, systems analysis and design and programming specifications. Oversee the design of innovative solutions to improve the capabilities of existing systems or develop new systems. Works closely with Finance and Human Resources, coordinate all technical aspects of our relationship with third-party accounting services provider.
Provide overall administration of operating systems, software development, database and network management, and oversee the purchase and management of PCs, upgrades and related equipment. Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets for all aspects of ongoing IT and telecommunications activities. Develop policies and procedures and ensure compliance in all aspects of information technology management to provide uninterrupted service and network access to all company users. Generally responsible for user training and development, as well as network security and data integrity.
Lead special projects as required. Prepare time and cost estimates for programs and systems. Evaluate system needs and negotiate contracts with outside vendors as required or direct in-house staff to accomplish projects. Guide the work of consultants and evaluate performance to ensure effective completion of special projects. Design system and software changes or modifications to improve business results and meet changing requirements.
Attend and participate in a variety of meetings. Interface effectively with all company departments providing communication links and improve overall business efficiency and information sharing. Develop and maintain close working relationship with restaurant operations management and proactively identify technology solutions to business problems and opportunities. Work closely with third party point-of-sale systems provider to identify existing or new capabilities that should be considered for enhancements to our existing systems.
Maintain relationships with such industry, trade, professional societies and other technical organizations as necessary to keep abreast of technology changes applicable to business operations and computer industry.
