    • Excellent knowledge of public construction and building systems; all related permits, licensing, new and existing codes pertaining to public building and fire safety.

    • Ability to effectively manage a staff of laborers and skilled craftsmen.

    • Ability to analyze all associated systems as to their design, intent, and effective performance.

    Requirements:

    We have an excellent career opportunity for a  Director of Facility Maintenance & Engineering at one of our premium branded full service hotels located in Seattle, Washington. The hotel is located near the Seattle airport, 460 guest rooms and nearly 15,000 square feet of meeting/event space.   The desired candidate should be able to maintain the entire hotel facility, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. Participate in the management of all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects.  


    This position will also be responsible for the following functions:



    • Completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, back of the house spaces and grounds. Assigns and verifies completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.



    • Maintain effective energy management and preventive maintenance programs, conducting special training for other operating departments on the safe and effective use of equipment and energy in the hotel.



    • Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.



    • Manage the maintenance staff to include interviewing, selection, training, evaluating, directing, and developing.
