    Job Summary:
    The sales manager will work with the Director of Sales and the Sales Coordinator to generate revenue for the four hotels owned and managed by ALKO Hotels, LLC. The sales team will work together to bring in group bookings and negotiate corporate rates for all four hotels. A substantial portion of this position is geared towards sales calls and being outside of the office.

    Major Responsiblities:
    Develop and maintain revenue generating plan and sales budget with the General Manager and Regional Sales Director. Increase revenue from market segments and key accounts, and help coordinate yield management with the General Manager and Operations Manager. Must be able to do individual sales calls including prospecting and cold calls daily. Participate in joint sales calls with the General Manager and other managers who participate in sales Prepare weekly sales meetings and be able to rigorously follow up with all leads in a timely manner. Identify referrals and send cold leads back to the lead generation group. Focus on the proper mix of business for the hotel. Penetrate and saturate customer organization to do department selling. Know competitors top accounts, decision makers, rates and what it will take to move business. Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitzes, National Sales Office and other sources. Cultivate lead sources. Distribute leads to other sister Hotels. Cross sell all properties. Qualify in-house guests. Complete weekly sales call reports and maintain Sales Pro. Submit reports to the General Manager, Regional Sales Director and Home Office, as requested. Network with prospects to uncover other decision makers. Establish and maintain close contact with accounts through phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence and entertainment. Assess future and current needs of the guests. Maintain and back-up computer sales files and trace system of accounts. Develop team member attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of the guest's needs. Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaints that are of concern to the sales team. Maintain an active and visible position in the local community and industry. Participate in community activities, team member functions and guest events.

    Job Requirements:
    3 years Hotel Sales Experience Minimum of 2 years at the management level.
