    It is the primary responsibility of the Status Board Operator to provide support to the Housekeeping department. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

    • Updates status of guest rooms.
    • Processes Rooms Control data and distributes rooms to Managers on all shifts.
    • Receives and processes rush room requests from the Front Desk and VIP Services.
    • Receives requests from the Front Desk and VIP services by phone or computer printer for special requests from guests, such as baby cribs, bed boards, irons, hair dryers, etc.
    • Receives and processes requests from guests for turndown services, refrigerators, extra towels, and forwards the request to the proper employee in the specific area.
    • Run reports needed by Housekeeping, Day and Swing shifts.
    • Ensures that the Housekeeper Assistant's report is completed in the morning and afternoon for distribution to the Assistant Hotel Manager.
    • Performs all other job related duties as requested.

    Required:

    • At least 6 months of experience Hotel Status Board Operator experience.
    • Ability to handle non-routine situations and responsibilities as they arise.
    • Ability to operate office equipment.
    • Working knowledge of mathematical skills.
    • Have effective listening abilities.
    • Have good public relations skills.
    • Have strong judgment skills.
    • Have intermediate typing.
    • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, within established deadlines and attention to detail.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

    Preferred:

    • Bilingual.
    • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
