    The primary responsibilities of a Facility Carpenter is to respond to carpenter maintenance calls from guests or other departments, ensure proper completion of work orders and to perform preventative maintenance throughout to ensure the overall facility integrity of the Hotel/Casino.

    • Maintain Commercial Doors and hardware including panic hardware
    • Lay out and construct metal framing, and suspended ceilings for remolding
    • Fabricate and install basic cabinetry and millwork including plastic laminates, acrylics, solid surfaces and veneers
    • Repair fixtures and perform furniture maintenance
    • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
    • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.

    Required: 

    • At least 8 years' experience in commercial construction and remodeling.
    • At least 6 years' experience in reading and understanding blueprints and shop drawings.
    • At least 6 years' experience working with mill shop equipment and procedures.
    • At least 5years' experience in similar position with casino and/or hotel resort operations or related field.
    • At least 2 years' experience in a trade school or apprenticeship program.
    • Ability to operate various equipment including forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift.
    • Experience working with industrial hand tools, power tools.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Able to lead and mentor a team.
    • Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.      

    Preferred:

    • Hospitality Ð high end hotel/gaming experience.
    • Previous experience in a similar position at a hotel/casino or facility.
    • Knowledge of basic computer skills: Word, Excel & Outlook.
    • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
