    Tyson Foods is raising the world's expectation on how much good food can do. The Shopper Marketing Team is excited for the growth that occurring within the company and on Team! The Shopper Marketing Manager, Channels is an exciting, creative, and entrepreneurial role that is responsible for building Best in Class Shopper Marketing programs for our non- grocery retailers: Dollar, Drug, Club and E-Commerce. In addition, this role is expected to make program recommendations intended to continue optimizing the overall Shopper Marketing function's ROI. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy, and will also interact regularly with Sales, Finance, Analytics and agency partners.

    Develop and execute strategic and tactical annual plans for each of the assigned retailers, across branded base business and innovation. Conduct annual planning workshops with Tyson sales teams for assigned retailers. Improve marketing ROI vs. prior periods. Manage and maintain annual budgets. Secure alignment to and approval of plans to the following cross- functional teams: Sales, Brand, and retailer Marketing/Merchandising teams. Engage Shopper Insights team to provide insights-based rationale for plans. Conduct strategic business analysis and identify key business drivers. Provide situational leadership and support where appropriate. Manage agency relationship to develop Best in Class Shopper Marketing programs on time and within budget. Manage personal T&E budget.

    A Bachelor's degree in marketing or another business-related field. 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably on manufacturer-side and with a branded, consumer-goods company, or combination of supplier-side and manufacturer-side experience. Food industry experience is a plus. Past Shopper Marketing experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, resolve conflicts in a productive fashion and perform at a high capacity to deliver against a significant volume of work and quick turn-around on unanticipated customer-generated requests. Strong project planning and management skills, interpersonal skills, a total business orientation and an ability to thrive in a multitasking environment.

    Communication Skills: Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

    Computer Skills: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on building Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools. Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data (IRI / Mintel /Retail Link preferred). Exposure to CPG industry and CPG companies preferred.

    Travel: 5-8 domestic trips annually

    Additional Skills Required: Strong project management, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills; strategic skill sets based on a combination of fact-based shopper data and qualitative data to create customer visions for sustained business growth. Demonstration of leadership by influence, not by role authority; ability to comfortably sell ideas to others who ultimately will make the business decisions (Buyer, Sales Leader, Brand Team, Sales Planning Team). Work cross-functionally with several Brand Teams and Business Units, who each have different processes and management styles. Ability to lead an agency with project management from creative concept to execution. Write agency assignment briefs, creative briefs, and be a brand advocate for those customers under assigned areas of responsibilities. Prior experience working with and/or managing an agency relationship

    Supervisory: This position will manage a dedicated agency team and must be able to motivate, delegate, manage and empower the agency team.
