    Hotel Manager Requirements & Qualification

    • Bachelor degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience & training; or equivalent combination of education & experience
    • Read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals
    • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word processing software; spreadsheet software & Internet software
    • Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation

    Hotel Manager Job Description

     We currently have a Hotel Manager opening in a remote location in Alaska. This is a great opportunity to continue building upon your previous experience & provided exceptional customer service to guests. Manages hotel to ensure efficient and profitable operation by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

      • Live On-Site
      • Direct Hire
      • Salary 75-80k

    • Ensures compliance with company standards for personnel administration & performance, service to patrons, & room rates
    • Delegates authority & assigns responsibility to all employees; supervises work activities of all employees
    • Ensures staff received proper training for each position, including safety training & standard operating procedures
    • Monitors cost controls on a regular basis
    • Performs duties of a Sales & Marketing manager including making marketing calls; attending community business functions; working with travel agents and direct bill accounts; & coordinating sales promotions
    • Inspects guest s rooms, public access areas, & outside grounds for cleanliness & appearance
    • Answers patron s complaints & resolves problems to maintain Guest Satisfaction
    • Handles & resolves employee issues
    • Conducts annual wage scale surveys & ensures employee wages follow wage & salary guidelines
    • Ensures employee paperwork, work schedules & payroll are completed & submitted in a timely manner
    • Audits daily reports & processes monthly paperwork
    • Orders supplies, & equipment as needed & in accordance to company procedures
    • Available 24/7
    • All other duties as assigned
