    Job Description

    Description/Comment:

    This position is responsible for leading a variety of marketing research activities that support multiple functions across the company. This individual will report to the VP, Marketing Science and manage external research consultants and lead vendors to deliver against a highly strategic set of marketing research objectives. This is a temporary position with the potential to turn into a full time role on the Marketing Research team.



    This position involves extensive research design, primary and secondary research reporting, and research project management, as the individual will be required to be self-sufficient in managing research projects from start to finish.



    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Efficiently and effectively manage appropriate partnerships, vendors, contractors, consultants, etc.



    Work collaboratively with internal teams on a variety of research projects.



    Manage multiple primary research projects for a variety of teams, for example brand, product, multicultural, and customer engagement.



    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

    Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner

    Experience working with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

    Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise

    Ability to identify research necessary to address a multitude of business needs

    Experience interpreting and summarizing secondary data (e.g. Forrester, Mintel, etc.)

    Resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented and able to thrive in fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once

    Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

    Ability to maintain confidentiality (and honor all Charter customer privacy requirements)

    Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

    Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties

    Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously

    Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in other desktop applications

    Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and handle shifting priorities

    Ability to manage the complete research process, including outside agencies, partners, consultants and vendors

    Education

    Bachelor s degree in Research, Marketing, Business, Management or related field



    Related Work Experience Number of Years

    Project management experience 3+

    Marketing Research experience 5+



    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

    Experience with Vision Critical panel platform

    Outstanding ability to communicate orally and in writing with a clear and straightforward manner

    Knowledge of all major research methodologies, leading companies, associations, publications, industry trends and innovations

    Knowledge of Comperemedia, Kantar, Forrester and SNL platforms

    Knowledge of cable television, internet, media and telephony products and services
