Westin ensures guests are well rested, well nourished and well cared for.
Answer all external and internal calls and direct calls of guests and associates. Handle guest messages and requests, as well as follow through with their requests or issues to ensure guest satisfaction. Responsible for proper execution of emergency procedures. Input guest issues and problems in to our StarGuest system, use Hotel Expert to report and action problems and guest issues, use radio system to communicate to other departments and also use Galaxy Light Speed which is the main property management system to locate guest contacts, accommodations, requests etc.
Hourly: $19.15 - $23.94
90% Answer all calls using the guest's name and an established script. Assist guests with voice mail and messages. Follow wake-up call procedures to make sure every request is completed on time. Page hotel departments for requests, repairs, defects, luggage assistance, shuttle service, valet service and amenities. Assist guests and employees with the language line service if necessary. Input guest issues into the StarGuest response system.
5% Execute emergency procedures. Notify appropriate employees of
emergencies according to established code language.
5% Connect or assist with the installation and/or connection of convention telephone services. Assist in replacing broken phones in guest rooms.
Take villa delivery orders and ensure orders are delivered to guest room.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Vistana Signature Experiences rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
• Answer the priority calls when the guest relation's manager is not available.
• Contact security when a guest is ill and logging the call in StarGuest.
• Log all “Do Not Disturb” requests and telephone service requests.
• Review the information posted on the bulletin boards.
