    • Solicit and procure accounts in accordance with established marketing profiles and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Execute pre-qualifications and rate negotiations; establish files, issue contracts, process bookings and appropriate follow-up correspondence with clients.
    • Maintain frequent contact with established and prospective clients.
    • Represent at trade shows, presentations, and, sales trips, etc.
    • Ability to create and give client presentations.
    • Assist in creating programs to improve room sales and to target soft and off-peak periods.
    • Host prospective clients on site, inspections to include customer entertainment, dining and shows.
    • Establish convention room rates and minimum catering expenditures.
    • Be able to coach and mentor sales colleagues in a fast paced working environment.
    • Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
    • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) while staying consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Director of Sales and/or Vice President Hotel Sales and Marketing.
    • Perform all other job related duties as requested.
    • Maintain frequent contact with established and prospective clients.
    • Execute pre-qualification and rate negotiations, establish files, issue contracts, process bookings and appropriate follow-up correspondence with clients.
    • Responsible for assisting in the implementation all departmental efforts, including training.
    • Hosts prospective clients visiting the hotel to include customer entertainment such as dining in hotel restaurants and accompanying to shows.
    • Assume duties of Associate Director of Sales in his/her absence with respect to Convention Sales.
    • Create and give client presentations.
    • Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.
    • Implement training program for Convention Sales Admin.
    • Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
    • Other job related duties as requested.

    Required:

    • At least 6 years of work experience in hotel/convention sales.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
    • Previous experience working at a AAA four / five diamond property or similar resort setting.
    • Previous experience with large groups of 500+ rooms.
    • Working knowledge of Daylight.
    • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
