    The Assistant Houskeeping Supervisor will assist with coordinating staff on all job-related activities and evaluates their needs to assure that all operations are conducted in a smooth, efficient, and productive manner, exercising care, diligence, and following the prescribed safety and security guidelines. They will also help to coach, train, and re-train personnel under his/her leadership to ensure that standards, policies, and procedures are met.  Recommends additional training when necessary.
    General Responsibiity:

    • Perform all duties to the best of your ability, using proper technical procedures and exercising diligence and care. 
    • Follow all established policies and procedures (company, department, etc.) and all safety procedures when using chemicals and other cleaning products and equipment.
    • Maintain assigned equipment in working condition and report any maintenance issues to your supervisor/manager. 
    • Display attentive and gracious hospitality to our external customers (guest) and internal customers (team members and co-workers in Environmental Services and other departments).  Exemplify Sheraton Vistana Values and all company programs (SCFY, STAR Service Standards, ABC's of Housekeeping, etc.). 
    • Respond to our guests' questions, complaints, comments, and requests in a courteous and professional manner, or refer to management if necessary.  Utilize Sheraton Cares for you and display positive behaviors.
    • Follow up on requests to ensure adequate completion.  Communicate with other departments to solicit their assistance when necessary to accomplish company and departmental goals. 
    • Ensure that established quality service levels and standards are maintained. 
    • Perform various other duties as needed or requested by management.
    Leadership Responsibility:
    • Lead by example:  Maintain a positive, professional attitude and take the necessary initiative to better serve our internal and external customers. 
    • Remain current on issues and trends which are relevant to your department by attending various learning functions, such as meetings and training workshops.  Update manual as needed.
    • Update team members under your leadership on various changes necessary to their performance by holding weekly meetings to include company, department, and HUBB updates; technical performance; and project completion.
    • Evaluate E.S.D. associates' performances and coach or counsel them as needed.  Reinforce good performance and address needs for improvement.  Monitor their conduct and report any unusual situations to managers.
    • Prepare and deliver associates performance appraisals within the pre-established deadlines.
    • Update project completion records.
    • Receive direction from various Environmental Services managers.
    • Send necessary documentation by pre-established deadline (including associates performance appraisals).
    • Monitor attendance and punctuality policies.  Enforce the 'No Overtime' policy.
    • Follow pre-established Supervisor's checklist.


    • Equivalent education level:  high school diploma required. 
    • Experience preferred:  Two to three years in the service industry.
