    The successful candidate will have management experience in hotel operations with extensive housekeeping management experience. They will manage and motivate housekeeping personnel providing daily supervision to include staffing, training, discipline, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction. They will disseminate feedback from surveys, online reviews, guest satisfaction and service recovery opportunities and coach accordingly.

    The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown and Staybridge Suites Atlanta Midtown complex is currently recruiting applicants for a Director of Housekeeping. This 460-room hi-rise complex in Midtown Atlanta is a flagship property for IHG Hotels and Spire Hospitality and is just completing a full renovation as it debuts the Staybridge Suites as a part of its offering.


    The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel; harmonizing the culture, mission, keys, and quality standards to assure maximized potential. This person must create an exceptional climate of professional & personable service that ensures the long term satisfaction of team members, guests, & owners. This person will ensure recruiting, onboarding and training of our associates is priority.


    Housekeeping


    • Develop and implement processes that create an exceptional experience for our guests on a consistent basis

    • Prepare financial reports and have a financial responsibility to the Hotel's financial statement


    • Daily inspection of guest rooms, public areas, employees locker rooms, pool and fitness center

    • Daily briefing of Supervisors/ Managers

    • Coordinating the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public area with maintenance department.

    • Immediately attending to guest requests.


    • Establish operational goals

    • Maintain all company quality standards

    • Identify areas of opportunity and recommend/execute corrective action

    • Ensure effective communication with other departments within the hotel

    • Implement and oversee all hotel standards for cleanliness, presentation, supplies, & amenities by room type

    • Ensure control of all hard keys and electronic keys needed for the department

    • Control and authorize all purchase orders for supplies, products, and amenities to ensure availability when needed

    • Implement and oversee cleanliness standards for guest rooms, public area, service areas, & offices, making constant inspections

    • Establish and maintain Ôdeep clean' programs

    • Ensure all housekeeping equipment is functional

    • Constantly maintain room status in the system

    • Maintain constant communication with engineering department regarding preventive maintenance, support program

    • Complete inventories in accordance with hotel policies

    • Ensure proper flow of information between housekeeping and other departments of the hotel

    • Create weekly schedules, ensuring coverage for all breaks and during peak hours

    • Source, order, and maintain appropriate inventory levels

    • Respond to opportunities with a sense of urgency

    • Keep work areas clean and maintained
