Chinese Restaurant News (CRN) announces its 6th Annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Awards, the only annual award show for the Chinese restaurant industry. CRN will recognize the top 100 Asian-themed restaurants and Chinese restaurants in the U.S. and Canada in various categories at the event in Las Vegas Jan. 3-5.
This is the first year that chefs from Mainland China, Taiwan and Canada will participate in the event, in addition to U.S. chefs. The San Francisco Bay Area's Asian Chefs Association will also for the first time bring its award-winning team to showcase their talents. Master Chef Martin Yan will host the show, alongside honorary co-hosts Chef Khai Duong, Chef Lawrence Chu, Sr. Special guest and Chef Theresa Lin will also emcee the show.
'This year, we are thrilled to include more members of the International culinary community,' said Jan-Ie Low, chief producer of the show. 'The Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Awards Show continues to set standards and recognize excellence for the Chinese and Asian restaurant industry.' The event gains more recognition every year.
From suburban buffets to high-end restaurants, Chinese cuisine has become a fixture of the American daily dining scene. On an average day, the Americans consume 2.5 million meals prepared in Chinese restaurants. Grossing over $20 billion annual sales with 45,000 Chinese eateries in the U.S, Chinese food is as American as an apple pie. |
