|
Ramada International Inc., a division of Marriott International, Inc. [NYSE: MAR] is celebrating the opening of its 200th hotel this week, the Ramada Hotel & Suites Amsterdam in the Netherlands. |
"This hotel offers a glimpse into Ramada's brand strategy," said Reas Kondraschow, Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Ramada International, Inc. "The Ramada Hotel & Suites Amsterdam is an excellent prototype for the future -- great service, the perfect location, a great stay."
Located among popular tourist attractions, museums, shopping and the nightlife center, Leidselplein, the Ramada Hotel & Suites Amsterdam offers an intimate setting in a great destination. The hotel is equipped with 107 rooms offering air-conditioning, a direct-dial phone, satellite TV, an in-room safe, a trouser press, a tea and coffee maker, a hairdryer and a private bathroom. In addition, it offers a boutique shop and three meeting rooms - The Forum, Art Room and Vondell Hall - perfect for small meetings, events or weddings.
Guests of the hotel can indulge in traditional Dutch cuisine at "The Gallery" or enjoy views of the famous Vondel Park from the bistro bar's terrace. For guests traveling to and from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, shuttle service is available upon request.
Also nearby are Amsterdam Central Station and public transportation for a quick trip to Amsterdam's must-see destinations - the remaining waterways and canals, the Van Gogh Museum or the historic 14th century courtyard, Begijnhof. Art lovers flock to the country's premier art museum, Rijksmuseum, or the Stedelijk, focusing on art from 1850 to the present.
Additional openings in The Netherlands this month include the 106-room Ramada Amsterdam City Centre and the 32-room Ramada Amsterdam City Centre South.
Ramada's six core pillars include: a restful sleep; an invigorating shower; a well-trained staff; an exceptional level of cleanliness; the "Ramada Mornings" breakfast; and a Spirit to Service Our Communities with community partnerships, family services, associate involvement and career opportunities.
Ramada International hotels are located in 27 countries and territories, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean and Latin America.
