Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has named Laura Batchelor director of operations for The Chattanoogan, the only Four Diamond, full service resort in the heart of revitalized Chattanooga, Tennessee. Tom Cupo, general manager, made the announcement
“I’m so pleased to announce Laura’s promotion,” said Mr. Cupo. “She has done a terrific job in her role as director of conference services, and we look forward to her expanded leadership within our hotel operations.”
While assuming her new responsibilities as director of operations, Ms. Batchelor will continue in her previously-appointed role as director of conference services for the award-winning conference center hotel.
Prior to joining Benchmark in 2007, Laura Batchelor was director of catering and resort services for Mount Snow Resort of West Dover, Vermont. Previous to this, Ms. Batchelor served in operations and facilities management for a large law firm based inWashington, DC. She has also worked in food & beverage and operations for major brand hotels located in Kentucky andWashington, DC.
Laura Batchelor is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. She resides in Chattanooga with her family.
