Pan Pacific Hotels And Resorts Signs On Second Property In Chiang Mai, Thailand |
At a signing ceremony on April 11, 2006, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts confirmed that the company will manage a new hotel property in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This newly named property, Pan Pacific Chiang Mai, will be the second property that the Pan Pacific hotel group manages in Thailand.
Previously a condominium complex, under the V Group Property Co. Ltd, the condominium development is undergoing a conversion to a 300-room deluxe hotel and will open in October 2006.
'Pan Pacific enjoys strong brand recognition in Thailand and this, in line with our renewed focus on our portfolio development, has led to the successful signing in Chiang Mai,' said Mr. Arthur Ikeda, President of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. 'We are confident that the new Pan Pacific Chiang Mai will be a great asset to our brand and the beginning of a very successful partnership with V Group Property Co. Ltd.' he added.
Just 10 minutes away from the Chiang Mai International Airport, the hotel's prime location will benefit both business and leisure travelers. This high-rise hotel will feature the group's signature Pacific Floors located on the top three levels of the hotel, which will be served by a dedicated Pacific Lounge providing daily complimentary breakfast, evening cocktails and refreshments.
The 300 spacious deluxe guest rooms, all over 44 square meters, will be equipped with a state-of-the-art in-room entertainment system, broadband Internet connectivity as well as luxurious bathrooms complete with Jacuzzi baths. Non-smoking floors and a long-stay Residence Floor(s) are additional features, which are already popular in other Pan Pacific properties.
Restaurant and dining facilities include: a 120-seat all day dining restaurant; a specialty restaurant featuring both local and international cuisine; a roof top cocktail lounge with stunning views of the city and mountains; and Pan Pacific's award winning Japanese fine dining concept Keyaki with over 70 seats including table, counter dining and private rooms.
Other amenities in the hotel will include sophisticated convention and meeting space and extensive banquet rooms, all equipped with modern technology to accommodate small business meetings and large conventions. The Executive Centre provides 24-hour business and concierge services. For rest and recreation, there will be two swimming pools, one of which will be located on the roof top garden as well as a luxury health club and spa.
'We are delighted to partner with such a high profile upscale brand as Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts on this exciting new hotel in Chiang Mai,' said Mr. Wachara Tantranont, Chairman of V Group Property Company Limited. He continued, 'The successful Pan Pacific Bangkok is testimony of the effectiveness of the Pan Pacific philosophy and values of personalized and genuine care. We are confident in this partnership and we are sure that Pan Pacific will exceed expectations and take us to greater heights.'
Scheduled to open in October 2006, Pan Pacific Chiang Mai is a significant addition to Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, who already manage the Pan Pacific Bangkok and is widely recognized for setting international standards complemented with local diversity.
