Super 8® Motels Renews Sponsorship of NASCAR Tide Team |

Super 8 Motels today announced the renewal of its major associate sponsorship of the #32 Tide Chevrolet, driven by Bobby Hamilton Jr. in this year’s NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. |
The agreement will continue the Super 8 brand’s four-year relationship with the car’s owner, PPI Motorsports of Hickory, N.C.
“The Super 8 brand is proud to continue its relationship with the Tide team and is excited to be sponsoring the #32 Tide Chevrolet and Bobby Hamilton Jr., one of today’s up-and-coming drivers,” said Super 8 President John Valletta. “Our relationship with the Tide team continues to provide excellent exposure for the Super 8 brand among a wide audience.”
PPI Motorsports President Cal Wells said the Super 8 brand has been a “tremendous sponsor,” adding “we are proud of the success we have achieved together, both on and off the track.”
Since joining the Nextel Cup Series in 2000, PPI Motorsports has earned two wins, three pole positions, 10 top fives and 20 top tens. The team, which also has won multiple championships and victories in off-road and open-wheel racing, will celebrate its 25th year in racing in 2005.

From 1996 to 2001, the Super 8 brand had been an associate sponsor of the #94 Ford, owned by Bill Elliott Racing.
