The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) has elected new Board members to complete its Board of Directors for the 2012-2013 Board term. The elections were held Saturday, May 5 during the 2012 AAHOA Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.

More than 15 years after implementing its landmark 'Points of Fair Franchising,' the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) today announced its strong support for the recently introduced California fair franchising legislation that incorporates many of the same fair franchising 'rights' needed to protect franchisees and all franchise systems.

In an effort to strengthen ties with the Indian government as well as encourage growth of the travel and tourism industries, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) hosted its 2012 Delegation to India. The Delegation, which was held January 6-11 and featured stops in Jaipur and Gujarat, consisted of more than 50 delegates including AAHOA Officers, Board members, vendor representatives and more several board members from Best Western International.

AAHOA membership elected Pratik R. 'Prat' Patel Secretary. Prior to his election to serve as Secretary, Prat Patel served as South Central Texas Regional Director for AAHOA.

At the AAHOA 2011 Annual Convention this week in Las Vegas, AAHOA and InnLink announced their launch of an initiative to create a customized portal solution -- similar to an online travel agency (OTA) to facilitate online booking of rooms in almost 100,000 properties across the United States.
