Ms. Rainy Chan will be promoted to be Area Vice-President, Hong Kong and Thailand while retaining her role as General Manager, The Peninsula Hong Kong. Mr. Nicolas Beliard, currently Resident Manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong, will be promoted to be General Manager of The Peninsula Bangkok. Both promotions are effective on 1 May, 2010. Mr. Beliard is replacing Mr. Charles Morris, who will be leaving his post at the end of April.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH), a hotel and property company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00045), announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HSH Financial Services Limited, has signed a HK$1.225 billion Four Year Term Loan Facility with a group of seven international banks. The Facility, which matures in 2013, is guaranteed by HSH.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH) and Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatari Diar) announced today that negotiations have been concluded and formal sets of agreements have been signed for the purchase by HSH of a 20% interest in a subsidiary of Qatari Diar which owns the building that currently houses the Centre International de Conferences on Avenue Kleber, Paris, France for a total cash consideration of approximately Euro 100 million (approximately HK$1,024 million).
